LGBTQ+ London: dating, arts, music, food and fashion

London is a big place to date in. These guides do the groundwork: where it is free, what is open, how the Tube actually works when you live far apart, which community organisations are worth knowing, and how to get home. Each one is written from primary sources where they can be read, names the ones that could not be, and shows the date they were checked.

How these guides are made

Every fact is read from the place or organisation's own page where that page can be read, and from a named reference source where it cannot — each guide lists which, and says so. A second reader then checks each claim against its source. We leave out bars, clubs and restaurants because they close, give helpline numbers only with the hours the organisation states, and never present a date as certain before the organiser has published it. The full standard is on how we write and check.

Questions

What is the Kindrd London guide?
A set of sourced guides to London for LGBTQ+ daters: galleries, music, markets, fashion, community support and getting home safely. Facts come from the place's or organisation's own page where it can be read, and from a named reference source where it cannot. Every guide lists its sources and the date they were checked.
Why are there no bar or restaurant recommendations?
Venues close, and a stale tip sends someone to a locked door. The guides stick to institutions, markets, parks and organisations with a documented history, and tell you to confirm times before you travel.
Are these guides only for LGBTQ+ people?
No. They are written for LGBTQ+ daters, but a free gallery, a lunchtime concert or a market day suits anyone. A place is only described as LGBTQ+ when its own site describes it that way.
How do I report a mistake?
Email hello@kindrdlove.app with the page and what you know. We change a guide's checked date only when we have genuinely re-checked its sources, never to make it look fresh.
