Looking out for you
Kindrd is built for genuine connection, and that only works when you feel safe. Here's how we protect you, and how to protect yourself.
On our side
Everyone must be 18 or older. We ask for a date of birth at sign-up and refuse anyone under 18. We don't yet check documents or estimate age from a selfie, so someone's age is their word, not ours.
There is no verified badge on Kindrd, and photos aren't screened automatically before they appear — no check has told you that the person in a photo is who they say they are. What we do have is fast and human: block or report anyone from their profile or your chat, and a moderator reads every report and can remove content and ban the account.
Your gender and orientation are special-category data. They're encrypted in transit, stored securely, never sold, and you can hide any of them from your profile while still using them to match.
Matching and messaging are always free. We never put your safety behind a paywall.
Absolute rules
Some things are not a matter of degree, and we treat them that way.
Human trafficking and sexual exploitation — recruiting, advertising, coercing or controlling anyone for commercial sex or forced labour — are banned outright. So is buying or selling sexual services through Kindrd.
Child sexual abuse material, and any sexual approach to a minor, are banned outright. Kindrd is 18+, and any account we believe belongs to someone under 18 is closed.
There is no warning and no second chance for either. We remove the content, permanently ban the account, preserve the evidence, and report it to the police and to the relevant child-protection body — the IWF and NCA-CEOP in the UK, NCMEC in the US. Deleting an account does not erase a report or stop a referral.
If you see any of this, report it in the app and pick the matching reason. Those reports skip the queue. Our Law enforcement guidelines set out exactly what we do next, and how officers reach us.

Red flags
Be cautious if someone you've just matched with:
Keep conversations on Kindrd until you trust someone. It's where you're protected. We'll nudge you in chat if we spot a common scam pattern.
Off the app
Meet somewhere public and busy the first few times. Tell a friend where you'll be and when.
Arrange your own transport there and back, so you're never dependent on someone you just met.
Stay sober enough to trust your judgement, and leave the moment something feels off. You never owe anyone an explanation for looking after yourself.
Your tools
You can report or block anyone from their profile or your chat with them.
Blockingis instant and silent. They're never told, and you disappear from each other completely.
Reporting sends the profile to our moderators for review; serious cases lead to a ban. Reporting also blocks them for you.

Your data
You can download everything we hold about you at any time.
Need a break? Pause your account to disappear from discovery without losing your matches, or delete it permanently. Both are one tap in Settings.
