These are the terms in force for Kindrd today. They apply to everyone using the service. We keep them under review as the product changes, and we will post any material update here.

Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Kindrd. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

Who can use Kindrd

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. Kindrd is a space for LGBTQ+ people seeking genuine relationships. One person, one account; keep your login details private and let us know if you suspect unauthorised access.

Kindrd is strictly an adults-only service. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account, and we close any account we believe belongs to a minor. If you believe a minor is using Kindrd, report the profile immediately using the in-app report tool and select “They are under 18”, or email us at hello@kindrdlove.app.

Zero tolerance: exploitation, trafficking and child sexual abuse material

Human trafficking, sex trafficking, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) are absolutely prohibited on Kindrd. There is no warning and no second chance for either.

You must never use Kindrd to:

  • Engage in or facilitate human trafficking or sex trafficking — including recruiting, harbouring, transporting, advertising, soliciting, or obtaining any person for commercial sexual exploitation, forced labour, servitude, or any other form of modern slavery, whether by force, fraud, coercion, deception, debt bondage, or abuse of a position of vulnerability.
  • Create, upload, request, share, link to, or advertise child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any sexualised depiction of a person under 18, real or generated, including drawn, animated, computer-generated, or AI-generated material.
  • Sexually solicit, groom, or seek to meet a minor, attempt to normalise sexual interest in minors, or use Kindrd to identify or contact a child for any sexual purpose.
  • Buy or sell sexual services, or advertise, arrange, or profit from commercial sexual activity or prostitution through the service.
  • Share intimate images without consent(“revenge porn”), sexually extort or blackmail anyone, or threaten to expose someone's identity, orientation, gender history, or HIV status.
  • Advertise or coordinate any other sexual exploitation, including coercing or pressuring any person into sexual activity or sexual content.

Where we identify any of the above, we remove the content, permanently ban the account and any linked accounts, preserve the associated evidence, and report the matter to the appropriate authorities and child-protection organisations. We do this whether or not the user has since deleted their account. Our Law Enforcement Guidelines set out exactly how this works.

How you agree to behave

Beyond the absolute prohibitions above, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, demean, stalk, or discriminate against anyone.
  • Impersonate anyone, misrepresent your age or identity, or create fake profiles.
  • Post unlawful, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, or non-consensual content.
  • Solicit money, run scams, advertise, or use the service for commercial purposes.
  • Share other people's private information, or content you do not have the right to share.
  • Attempt to scrape, hack, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Return to the service after a ban, including through a new or additional account.

We may remove content, suspend, or permanently close accounts that break these rules or put others at risk. We may do so without prior notice where there is a risk to someone's safety or where notice would prejudice an investigation.

Reporting and enforcement

Every profile and conversation carries a report control, and reporting someone also blocks them for you. Reports reach a moderator, and automated filters flag certain content independently of whether anyone reports it. Reports involving a minor, trafficking, or CSAM are escalated ahead of the queue and handled as described in our Law Enforcement Guidelines.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and words you add. You grant us a limited licence to host and display them for the sole purpose of operating Kindrd for you. You are responsible for the content you post and for having the rights to share it. You can delete your content, and your whole account, at any time from Settings.

Safety, not a guarantee

We provide tools like blocking, reporting, and moderation, and we take safety seriously, but we cannot verify every member or guarantee anyone's conduct. Use good judgement, especially when moving a conversation off Kindrd or meeting in person. Our Safety guide has practical advice.

Law enforcement and legal requests

We cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection bodies. We disclose account data when we are required to by valid legal process, and we may disclose it without waiting for process where we believe in good faith that there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury, or where the matter involves the sexual exploitation of a child. Our Law Enforcement Guidelines explain how requests are made, what we hold, how we preserve evidence, and when we notify the user concerned.

Paid features

Kindrd may offer an optional paid membership (Kindrd+) with extra features. Core matching and messaging remain free. Pricing, billing, and cancellation terms will be presented clearly at the point of purchase before you are charged.

The service is provided as is

Kindrd is offered without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Kindrd and delete your account at any time from Settings, and doing so erases your profile, photos and messages. Deletion does not erase a safety record: where content or account data is evidence in a serious safety report, an active investigation, or a legal obligation, we retain that limited record even after the account is gone, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting an account does not end a ban, and does not stop a report about you being reviewed or referred to the authorities.

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or to protect the community. Some provisions, by their nature, survive termination.

Governing law

Kindrd is operated from the United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; if changes are material we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Questions, or anything you need to raise with us, go to hello@kindrdlove.app.
