Pride in São Paulo takes over Avenida Paulista on the Sunday after Corpus Christi; the 2026 edition on 7 June was the 30th, and the 31st is listed for 30 May 2027. The Parada began in 1996 on Praça Roosevelt and moved to Paulista a year later. Central São Paulo around Largo do Arouche has been a gay gathering area since at least the 1960s, according to local accounts. The city runs five Centros de Referência LGBTI+ with free support, the Museu da Diversidade Sexual covers the community's history, and the municipal Disque DST/AIDS line is 0800 16 2550 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).
