WeHo Pride is run by the City of West Hollywood, which incorporated in 1984 and says it then had the first majority-LGBTQ+ city council; its Rainbow District lies along historic Route 66. ONE Archives at USC on West Adams Boulevard holds LGBTQ+ collections and runs monthly behind-the-scenes tours. APLA Health provides sexual health and primary care at eight county locations, and the TransLatin@ Coalition offers free community support.

- As of 2026, California's Fair Employment and Housing Act and Unruh Civil Rights Act protect sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression in employment, housing and business establishments.
